MSc Psychology (Distance Learning)
Postgraduate taught courses are similar in structure to undergraduate courses, but are more advanced.
You will usually attend lectures and seminars, and carry out practical work. Some of our courses take a blended learning approach, meaning you will mix on-campus and distance learning.
You'll usually be assessed through exams, dissertations and projects.
We offer a number of Master's level awards:
An MA or MSc Master's degree shows you have gained a higher level of expertise in a specific subject. They generally take one year to complete full-time or two years part-time.
The MBA award is for professionals who are looking to boost their managerial credentials. The Bradford MBA can be studied on campus, in Dubai, or by distance learning.
An LLM specialises in a particular field of law, such as International Legal Studies or Natural Resources and Environmental Law and Policy. Our LLM courses can be studied on campus or by distance learning.
The MRes trains you for research in a specific academic field and can be good preparation for a PhD. Our Faculty of Life Sciences and Institute of Cancer Therapeutics offers an MRes in various specialisms.
A PgDip is similar to a Master's degree, but is shorter and will typically leave out a major aspect of the full Master's programme - usually the dissertation project.
A PgCert can form the basis of a PgDip or Master's degree by introducing you to a subject at an advanced level or providing you with a specialist skill.
Bradford offered the exact modules I was looking for in my postgraduate study. The practical aspects of the course made it interesting and relevant to the skills I needed to upgrade, which are fundamental to my future career.
We're committed to providing innovative and flexible methods of learning for our students.
Since our pioneering introduction of part-time Master's courses, we've continually adapted our learning options to meet the needs of our students. In response to the global pandemic, we increased our January intake and added a number of new distance learning options.
Several of our Master's courses can be taken either full or part-time, allowing you to study around existing commitments such as work or childcare. Details of study options can be found on the course pages.
Most of our taught courses start in September, and we've also made a large increase in the number of courses with a January intake. Details of start dates can be found on the individual course pages.
Distance learning courses are studied online. We offer a number of distance learning courses, including our Distance Learning MBA, MSc Advanced Dementia Studies, and LLM law programmes.
Many of our postgraduate taught courses give the option of building up to a Master's degree over time. You can study CPD health studies modules at your own pace, rather than committing to a full degree.
